I have my site design in sketch format in my folder. Since I'm nowhere near a scanner, I'll try to describe that and hope that works (???)
Splash Page:
-title (linked?)
-pretty picture that links to index
-Text like "start here" or something, also linked to index
-tiny links at bottom for "site map", "help", and "who is this?"
Index page:
-Smaller pretty picture
-Title
-under that title, a sentence summary of what the purpose of the essay is
-a series of text links and linked icons to take you to different categories of the essay.
-text link to citation page at bottom
-again, the "site map", "help", and "who is this?" thigns at the bottom
A Category Page:
-The title of the category
-below it a one or two sentence summary of its general idea
-the body text
-text link to the index page
-text links to the previous and next topics
-the sitemap, etc series at bottom
Citation Page:
-title
-MLA style citations
-text link to the index page
-the sitemap, etc series at bottom
Site Map:
-Title
-text links to index page, topics, help, and who is this?
Help:
-what this site is (a hypertext essay designed for a course)
-how to navigate it
-what to expect
-text links to index, sitemap, and who's this?
Who Is this?
-disclaimer that I'm a student, this is schoolwork
-dummy email address
-text links to index, sitemap, and help
(Note from a book - ignore! "In psychoanalytical terms, the medium is fertile ground for projection...This situation leads to exaggeraated likes and dislikes, to idealization and demonization...p 70 Monroe"
